Some people say that animals’ lives in zoos are better than in their natural habitat, whereas others say that zoos are a place of torture for animals.

I think that it is definitely safer and happier. First of all, predators usually hunt their prey in their natural environment but in zoos the animals are safe. Secondly, the animals are fed regularly. If an animal gets sick a doctor helps it. As for the happiness, their lives are happy there as well. Most the animals were born in zoos, they do not really know anything else.

There are also people who think that zoos are absolutely horrible places to be in. They believe that animals feel bad there. Poor creatures get sick and die in such prisons more quickly. Some animals need a lot of space to live happily but in zoos they can not have it. Hunting gives their lives meaning.

In my opinion a lot of things depend on the type of zoo. There are good zoos where animals get good care and treatment and there are terrible zoos where animals are treated horribly. Nevertheless, we are talking about zoos as a concept and I think that it is not really badAuthorities check zoos very often and they do not allow to keep animals in poor conditions.

In conclusion I would like to say that life of wild animals in zoos is much better than in the wild because they are protected from their potential predators. The meaning of lives of animals in the wild is to get food and they get it in zoos for free without much of the efforts.
