Some people like to travel around our country whereas others prefer to travel abroad.

Seeing our country and traveling abroad are both very interesting. I believe that going abroad is more exciting. There one gets a chance to see different people and their customs, experience their culture. One can practice foreign languages and make new foreign friends. And of course, one gets to try different cuisines.

At the same time there’re people who prefer to travel around our country. They say it’s very beautiful, it’s cheaper and one doesn’t need to speak a foreign language to communicate with the locals, which makes traveling so much more comfortable.

In my opinion these people have a point. Our country is very beautiful indeed and sometimes cheaper, but definitely not always. Tickets to the Far East would cost a fortune and going to the now posh resort Sochi wouldn’t be cheap either. Also I think that instead of trying to avoid the discomfort of speaking a foreign language, we should do it whenever we get a chance. Communicating with foreigners is very exciting, they can tell us a lot of things about their countries, their habits and traditions and maybe even become our friends.

In conclusion, I'd like to say that despite the fact that our own country is very beautiful and seeing it makes a lot of sense, we should also try and see other countries. This will allow us to broaden our outlook and learn new things that we couldn’t learn staying in our home country.
