Some people think that a person should learn about places before visiting them, whereas others do not agree. They believe that it is just a waste of time.

In my opinionone should read about a place he or she wants to visit before going there. First of all, if a person reads something before visiting, they will remember the information they are told better. For example, there is a saying, “revising is the mother of education.” Secondly, one does not need a guide if people ahead of time learn about the places they want to visit themselves. For instance, a person can read everything in books or the Internet and then go to the place just to see what they want with their own eyes. It can save a lot of money for the traveler.

At the same time there are people who think that one should just go to a place and see it without learning about it ahead of time. They will get more positive emotions because of the surprise created from visiting a new place.

I do not agree with the opinion mentioned above. Every interesting place has some history that cannot be seen ‘from just looking at a place. Knowing this history beforehand gives visitors more positive emotions.

In conclusionI would like to say there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight, it is useless to read about a sight before going there but in actual fat it makes one’s memories and impressions stronger. Thus, I strongly believe that it is worth reading information about a place before going there.
