Some people think that traveling abroad is good whereas others say that it has more disadvantages than advantages.

I think that traveling to other countries is a perfect way to broaden one’s mind. First of all, one comes in touch with other cultures and learns a lot of new and interesting things. Second, it helps to overcome stereotypes and clichés that a traveler might have. Traveling abroad, learning other languages is a part of a cultural and educated person.

At the same time there are people who say that it’s better to learn your own country first. Without visiting all interesting places of your own country one should not go anywhere.

In my opinion these people have a point. A person has to know your own country well. Nevertheless, traveling overseas lets a person compare different cultures thus understand his own culture better.

In conclusion, I'd like to say that if we weigh all the advantages that support traveling against the disadvantages, we'll see that the advantages seriously outweigh disadvantages.
