Some people say that the world population is getting older because people nowadays don’t want to have children and because of good medicine whereas others don’t agree.

I think that it’s not true. The planet’s population is not getting older. First of all, population of China, India and other Asian countries are growing fast. Not every elderly person can afford good medicine there so the life expectancy is not high there. Second, a few years ago the law that allowed to have only one child in China was abolished so the population of the world started getting even younger.

At the same time there are people who say that live expectancy in Europe grew to 80 for women and 72 for men but the birth rate seriously dropped. It’s getting older.

In my opinion these people have a point. Some European countries are getting older indeed. But if we are talking about the whole world we can see that its population is getting younger.

In conclusion, I'd like to say that if we weigh all the facts that support world’s population is getting older against the ones that says that it’s getting younger, we'll see that the facts that support the last ones outweigh those against.
